I have not seen a vet yet (since my hock was looked at several months ago, when my thoroughpin first appeared without lameness) but I am waiting for a call back to confirm an appointment. We hope they can get us in early this week.
I am very stiff and sore in the early AM but work out of it with activity; by lunch time, I am almost sound, but I do rest my off hind 95% of the time. FarmWife is so troubled by this that I am actually eager to see the vet! I want her merry, sing-song self back. She thinks I might have arthritis, hence the discomfort with my first steps of the day. I hope she's wrong.
Here is a little conversation clip from this morning:
FW: "Hello angel!"
FB: HELLO, FARMWIFE.
FW: "How are you this morning, my poor sweet lad?"
FB: HUNGRY. DID YOU BRING MY SPARKLY COOKIE?
FW: "Oh, I'm happy to see you too! Here's your vitamin."
FB: MPHMPHMPHSHLURRPSMACK!
FW: "I love you, Fenny."
FB: "I LOVE YOU TOO."

I hop0e it isn't arthritis too, Fenway, I have that and it isn't nice at all! There are treatments, though, that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteFen, You look so mournful; it makes my heart cry!
