If you were going to wish for 78 pets—that is, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, of something, what would you pick?

Here's my guess at FarmWife's list, off the top of my head:

12 zebras
11 giraffes
10 goats
9 donkeys
8 ponies
7 zebras
6 rabbits
5 mules
4 dogs
3 horses
2 cattle
1 camel

A more practical—and easier to feed—list might look like this:

12 fireflies
11 grasshoppers
10 earthworms
9 caterpillars
8 moths
7 fleas
6 beetles
5 ladybugs
4 spiders
3 mealworms
2 canaries
1 old dog

Or, if I could bend the numbers a bit, this:

15 chickens
3 goats
2 dogs
2 cats
2 rabbits
1 mule
